Bishop Vesey’s and Wilkes Green ‘Walk to Africa 2017’

As part of our partnership with Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School, over 1000 students eagerly participated in their second ‘Walk to Africa’ event to raise funds for the ‘Aspire to Africa’ project. These funds are integral to our vision of improving the infrastructure and supporting the development of pupil’s education in Tanzanian primary school Buyuni One.

This is off the back of a pledge made by the Sutton Coldfield School to raise £20,000 over 3 years. They walked the equivalent 4,600 mile distance from their school in the Royal Town to their school in Tanzania. The proceeds raised goes directly to improving the infrastructure and development of Buyuni One and have already made a significant impact.

Wilkes Green Junior School has also pledged its support for Buyuni One by donating books, stationery, calculators and iPads. In June 2017, 360 pupils and 23 teachers completed a Walk to Africa event raising funds for Aspire to Africa.

A big thank you to both schools.
