Sixteen teams and over 140 people took part in the second annual Aspire Sports Trust Football Tournament on Sunday 26th July.
The event, which was hosted by Sutton Town Football Club, was the final fundraiser focused on the 2015 trip which departs to Tanzania on 16 August.
A total of £2,228.38 was raised.
All money will go directly to help complete phase one of the Buyuni One Primary School project which includes the development of a curriculum, enhancing teachers skills and coaching children a variety of sporting activities.
Teams were split into four leagues with a semi-final being contested by each of the group winners. Teams included local businesses and organisations with the eventual winners being the staff from Billesley Primary School.
Events Manager Darryl Moffatt was delighted with the day and said
